What The Puff! was co-founded by siblings Yuan Ming and Brandon Lim, alongside their friend, Oh Chin Jie, with a shared passion for good food and the ambition to build on their hawker heritage. The brothers’ parents have run a Teochew porridge stall for over a decade, inspiring them to create something of their own. Encouraged by the idea that curry puffs are both appealing and scalable, the trio set out to craft recipes that seamlessly blend traditional flavours with modern twists.

From day one, they committed to making everything by hand. Fresh dough is kneaded, folded, and filled daily, resulting in flaky, satisfying puffs. Whether it’s the comforting Original, the bold Black Pepper Chicken, or the tangy Sardine, each flavour reflects their love for time-honoured ingredients and a drive for culinary innovation. Beyond taste, What The Puff! stands for the entrepreneurial spirit of youth—balancing work, studies, and family responsibilities while bringing local food culture to life.
